PatersonHistory.com website is a privately funded project, dedicated to the preservation of the rich history of the City of Paterson and to those who seek to expand their knowledge of it. Many OM and O&W locomotives were built at
both Cooke and Roger's Locomotive Works In Paterson.

of the NYO&W. We carry a complete line of model trains, including the O&W
and the M&NJ, scenery, wood and plastic building kits and much, much more.
We also do repairs on almost all types of model trains. We are the largest
train store in the area and have 3 different operating layouts.

Depot Preservation Society
exists for the purpose of maintaining a museum in
the Port Jervis Erie Depot of railroad memorabilia for perusal by the
general public and to protect and preserve the railroad history of the city
and surrounding area.

Maptech is now hosting the Historical USGS topographic map collection that was started by rail historian Chris Marshall. From its humble beginnings of a collection of New Hampshire topos, the site now encompasses much of the northeast, including all of New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. This collection of maps is essential for anyone researching railroad history.
Preservation & Restoration
Friends of the New Jersey Railroad & Transportation Museum: The Friends of the New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center, Inc. is a growing, volunteer organization of over 500 members founded in 1989. We are totally dedicated to supporting the creation, development, and operation of a Transportation Heritage Center in the Garden State. We provide assistance to the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey and the New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center Commission. New Jersey has a proud and distinguished transportation tradition. We have preserved and are restoring over 30 vintage buses and coaches, several antique trucks, and a trolley car. Over 125 truckloads of archives, artifacts, supplies and materials for the Heritage Center have been secured and moved to Phillipsburg. We believe that an operating Heritage Center will best preserve and showcase our irreplaceable railroad, bus, truck, canal, trolley, and ferry transportation heritage.
Southeastern Railway Museum: Home of restored NYO&W GE 44-tonner #104. The museum is located in Duluth, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. It is owned and operated by the Atlanta Chapter, National Railway Historical Society and is staffed almost completely with volunteers.

The Reel Lawn Mower History & Preservation Project @ North Farms.
This Collection was begun to preserve the hand, horse, and motor mowers of the 19th and early 20th century. Currently there are over 100 mowers representing 20 manufacturers. The Reel Lawn Mower History Project was started to assist in the restoration efforts of the older cutting units. It also works to increase knowledge of their many makers.
